Help the Homeless

Help the Homeless - Coronavirus Update

Sadly, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we have had to temporarily pause our `Help the Homeless` project.

However, once it is safe to do so, we endeavour to continue providing the much needed support to the Homeless in our local area.

We have been informed by the Hope Centre that we can no longer use their facilities at this time and are following Government guidance regarding what to do next.

PLEASE CAN I ASK THAT NO MORE ITEMS ARE BROUGHT INTO SCHOOL UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE AS THEY WILL NOT BE TAKEN TO THE HOPE CENTRE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THANK YOU.

I would very much like you to know that our 8 large containers of food, drinks, clothing and anything else we had in stock has now been taken to the Hope Centre to be given to the Homeless at this time.

I have also presented the Hope Centre with the cheque on behalf of the school for £320 raised by the generosity of the school community.

The team felt the items we had in stock and the monies raised would be far better used NOW by the Hope Centre rather than us holding on to it and using it at a later date.

The Hope Centre has sent it`s heartfelt thanks to everyone - this includes several of the regular Homeless folk we see who expressed their gratitude to the school community and project in general when the items and cheque were delivered.

Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in any way with this project.

The team look forward to relaunching `Our Lady`s Help the Homeless` at a future time.

Thank you.
