We are asking for your support in ensuring our school remains a safe and considerate part of the local community. Recently, we have received concerns regarding parking during drop-off and pick-up times, specifically in Duncan Court and surrounding side roads. We understand that these times are busy and parking is limited, but we must ensure we are respectful to our neighbours. To help maintain positive relations and keep our students safe, please follow these guidelines:
Avoid blocking residents: Ensure you do not park across or overlap any private driveways. Even a "quick drop-off" can prevent a resident from leaving for work or an appointment.
Keep junctions clear: Do not park on the corners of junctions. This reduces visibility for other drivers and makes it dangerous for children to cross.
Pavement access: Please do not park on pavements or grass verges. This forces pedestrians, including those with buggies or wheelchairs, into the road.
Zig-zags and yellow lines: Under no circumstances should vehicles stop on the school "Keep Clear" zig-zags or double yellow lines.
Park and Stride: If possible, please park a short distance away from the school and walk the final few minutes to help reduce congestion directly outside the gates.
Our priority is always the safety of our children, and being a "good neighbour" is a vital part of that. We thank the vast majority of you who already park safely and considerately. Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and support.
